This course studies various literary approaches that stem from the basic contexts of criticism: Author-, Text-, Reader-, Other Text-, Society-, and Discourse –based criticism. The course requires students to apply these theories (perspectives, principles and procedures) in conducting critical analysis of different literary works in different contexts.
Capaian Pembelajaran
  • a. identify the object of literary studies

  • b. differentiate various perspectives in literary theories

  • c. identify points of various criticisms from the selected criticisms

  • d. develop literary criticisms d

  • e. communicate the developed criticism through classroom-level seminar; and

  • f. evaluate the quality of the developed criticism by giving constructive comments and feedback in
    the classroom-level seminar.
