This course studies various literary approaches that stem from the basic contexts of criticism: Author-, Text-, Reader-, Other Text-, Society-, and Discourse –based criticism. The course requires students to apply these theories (perspectives, principles and procedures) in conducting critical analysis of different literary works in different contexts.

c. identify points of various criticisms from the selected criticisms
d. develop literary criticisms d
e. communicate the developed criticism through classroom-level seminar; and
f. evaluate the quality of the developed criticism by giving constructive comments and feedback in
the classroom-level seminar.
