Perkuliahan ini sebagian besar bacaan singkat yang diikuti pertanyaan (bacaan singkat yang diikuti pertanyaan (comprehension questions), latihan tata bahasa (grammar), dan kosa kata (vocabulary). Isi bacaan selain yang bersifat umum juga yang berkaitan dengan bidang studi.

  • Mampu mengakses (mencari dan bisa baca) sumber akademik berbahasa Inggris
  • Mampu menerjemahkan, menceritakan kembali serta menyederhanakan konsep-konsep biologi dari buku/e-book, film/video, artikel sederhana, dan jurnal ilmiah biologi dalam bahasa inggris
  • Mampu menerapkan pemahaman bahasa inggris dalam praktik kebiologianserta dalam komunikasi akademik
