Deskripsi:
The course provides the students with opportunities to choose and read poems, fables, fairytales, folktales, and short stories for children, short stories and abridged, and printed or online novels and periodicals, such as articles from popular magazines and credible ELT journals, or chapters of textbooks. It aims at developing good reading habits, giving opportunity for the students to refine their reading skills, building up knowledge of vocabulary and structure, and encouraging a liking of reading. It requires the students to respond to what they have read and to carry out a variety of classroom activities in order to share with one another what they learn from their reading materials.
Capaian Pembelajaran
  • understand the general meaning and messages of folk and fairy tales, short stories and abridged novels, fictions and non-fictions
  • apply their reading skills, and vocabulary and structure knowledge by writing reading reports and creative responses.
  • critically and creatively respond to the stories read through story-related activities as post reading activities to share with one another what they learn from their reading materials.
  • Value the significance of reading activities
  • build up knowledge of vocabulary and structure
