Deskripsi:
This course provides students with knowledge of the use of English for communication in science and technology with the skills to teach this type of English in high school, types of scientific writing, grammatical features, vocabulary building, and basic concepts in language for science and technology.
Capaian Pembelajaran
  • explain the concept of ESP, relationship of ESP and ELT, characteristics of ESP and 5 principles of ESP
  • state types of ESP, reasons for evolution of ESP, growth of ESP, Phases in the development of ESP and the differences between ESP & General English Programmes and General English Teacher and the ESP Practitioner
  • evaluate the quality of the ESP materials by giving constructive comments and feedback and communicate it in the classroom-level seminar
  • develop quality instruments for needs analyses and communicate instruments in classroom-level seminar
  • write a report of the needs analysis findings
