Matakuliah metodologi penelitian membekali Mahasiswa pengetahuan teoritis dan praktis yang membahas tentang konsep dan teori penelitian kuantitatif, kualitatif dan tindakan kelas, langkah-langkah penelitian, metode ilmiah, variabel, jenis data, hipotesis dan asumsi penelitian, landasan teori; rancangan penelitian, penelitian expost facto dan eksperimental, rancangan penelitian eksperimental, populasi dan sampling, instrumen dan teknik/metode pengumpulan data, teknik analisis data, generalisasi hasil penelitian, rancangan PTK, dan rancangan penelitian pengembangan, prinsip-prinsip penulisan karya ilmiah dalam usulan penelitian dan aplikasinya dalam melakukan penelitian pada bidang pendidikan jasmani dan olahraga dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan Dan Rekreasi
