Deskripsi:

This course is designed to build the listening skills you have developed in the Basic Listening course. It
focuses more on enabling you to comprehend implicit information in various types of spoken English
texts. In addition to the listening skills learned in the previous course, you are provided with learning
opportunities to develop and practice further skills of listening, i.e. recognizing cohesive devices,
understanding accents, inferring meanings and relationship between ideas, and understanding stress
and intonation. In addition to developing your competence in listening, this course also aims to cultivate
your listening habits and positive attitude towards listening through the use of varied and interesting

learning materials and activities. With carefully selected materials in terms of contents and activities of
different interaction patterns, you are also expected to nurture good behaviour and skills in learning
individually and with other people.
