Deskripsi:

The course is designed to develop students’ ability to speak English from post-intermediate level to pre-advanced level such as expressing likes and dislikes, agreements and disagreements, preferences, and opinions in group discussion. It is also designed to enhance students’ ability in doing monologues in various formal and informal settings i.e. delivering speeches and reporting news.

  • Identify expressions of likes and dislikes in various formal and informal settings from dialogs and videos

  • Use expressions of likes and dislikes in various formal and informal settings

  • Identify expressions of stating preferences in various formal and informal settings from dialogs and videos

  • Use expressions of preferences in various formal and informal settings

  • Identify expressions of agreements and disagreements in various formal and informal settings from
    dialogs and videos

  • Use expressions of agreements and disagreements in various formal and informal settings

  • Identify expressions of opinions in various formal and informal settings from dialogs and videos

  • Use expressions of opinions in various formal and informal settings

  • Identify types, ways, and expressions used in speeches.

  • Create effective speeches based on the types, ways, and expressions commonly used in speech

  • Identify the language features and expressions used in news reports taken from written materials and
    videos

  • Create news reports: gathering, writing, and broadcasting the news by using the determined language
    features and expressions used in news reports
