Deskripsi:
This course provides the students with opportunities to choose and read printed or
online novels and periodicals, such as articles from popular magazines and credible ELT
journals, or chapters of textbooks at the intermediate or advanced level. It aims to develop
good reading habits, build up knowledge of vocabulary and structure, and encourage a liking
of reading. It requires students to (1) write a brief comment and a short summary for each of
their reading materials and (2) to carry out various classroom activities to share with one
another what they have read.

enjoy reading printed or online novels and periodicals, such as articles from popular magazines and credible ELT journals, or chapters of textbooks at the intermediate or and advanced level
retell or explain the content or general message of the reading materials they have read
communicate their understanding about and personal response toward the content or general message of the reading materials they have read through various classroom activities
apply their reading skills, vocabulary and structure knowledge by writing short summaries of the reading materials they have read and and give relevant brief comments
value the significance of reading habit
