This course is designed to strengthen and broaden the students’ knowledge of the literary genres, enhance their ability to appreciate and enjoy reading literary works such as short stories, novelettes, novels, poems, songs, plays and to equip them with the knowledge and ability of the teaching strategies of the genres.
Capaian Pembelajaran

• Demonstrate a profound knowledge of the basic concepts of literary genres and their working mechanism.
• Analyse the intrinsic and extrinsic values of literary works.
• Contextualize the extrinsic values of literary works with current issues in real world.
• Apply the knowledge of the basic concepts of literary genres to English Language Teaching (ELT)
