Deskripsi:
This course provides students with basic conceptualization of literary and non-literaray texts that
cover distinctions, format, styles, patterns, elements, and working mechanism of both texts. The
course proceeds in the light of conventional and modern perspectives; the former being
traditional views on (non-) literary texts, the latter being contemporary insights which see (non-)
literaray texts as parts of active cultural products (thus including personal diaries, travel writings,
media journals, memoirs and the like). Students will gain a background knowledge useful to
support their later advanced literary studies.
