This course helps students to have gain a positive attitude towards scientific research and develop the a knowledge of research methodology in the areas of ELT, Linguistics, and Literature. Students practice to researching and reviewing primary and secondary sources (references); are facilitated to have clear ideas of how to link topic(s) to possible and relevant methodologies, and to devise a topic into for a small-scale research proposal by developing research questions, collecting relevant data, analyzing data, and drawing research conclusion(s)
Capaian Pembelajaran

  • 1) Identify the goal of research

  • 2) select appropriate references—primary and secondary sources—as the basis for the
    thesis proposal development;

  • 3) Identify different knds of research variables.

  • 4) Relate the variables wih research designs

  • 5) Formulate research questions and objectives for different kinds of research designs

  • 6) Formulate assmptions and hypthesis

  • 7) Identify and evaluate experimenal research designs

  • 8) Identify and evaluate correlational research designs

  • 9) Identify and evaluate survey research designs

  • 10) Identify the right sources of data

  • 11) Identify the right instrument to collect data

  • 12) Evaluate the right way to analyze the data
