Matakuliah ini memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk memahami konsep sejarah pendidikan jasmani dan olahraga yang meliputi sejarah olahraga di dunia, sejarah olahraga di Indonesia, perkembangan beberapa pesta olahraga, serta perkembangan pendidikan jasmani di Indonesia
